Description¶

High-level API to automate web browsers

SageMath uses Playwright to take screenshots of 3D graphics in a headless browser. Exporting Jupyter notebooks to PDF via nbconvert’s WebPDF technology also uses Playwright.

Installation commands¶

PyPI:

$ pip install playwright

Sage distribution:

$ sage -i playwright

Arch Linux:

Nixpkgs:

$ nix-env -f \'\<nixpkgs\>\' --install --attr python3.-playwright

However, these system packages will not be used for building Sage because spkg-configure.m4 has not been written for this package; see upstream Issue #27330 for more information.
